Have you ever wondered about generic food items on the supermarket's shelves? Or, the preferred Store CEO expression: "Store Brand" They sometimes have their Logos on the packaging.

There are food processing plants out there specialized on these generic food items. Did you also know that generic food items are found to have the quality and nutritional values equal to their national brand counterparts? The Private Label Manufacturers Association also made a study which found One in Five products purchased in grocery outlets to be generic food items? No wonder their $s are soaring. Generic food items have earned their rightful shelf space next to the national brand products.

On the other hand, some generic food items may be better than others. It all depends on personal tastes or preference. If you do follow a budget it would be wise to consider buying generic food items or if you did not have, take or make the time off your busy life schedule to clip coupons or as it happened to me over and over again holding on expired coupons.
